OVERVIEW

Devoy has a diverse practice that involves commercial litigation, compliance, corporate bankruptcy and antitrust.  Devoy has assisted with a UCC foreclosure sale to cleanse an entity of junior liens for a senior secured lender, participated in the filing and completion of several Chapter 11 cases in multiple jurisdictions and performed various tasks related to corporate governance, including the preparation of minutes, resolutions and unanimous written consents and various other methods of preserving corporate formalities.

Additionally, he represented a DIP lender in an adversary proceeding in which they sought to enforce their rights to collateral and drafted the related motion for summary judgment, as well as the reply in support.  More recently, he counseled an LLC on their joint venture with a corporation in another state and consulted on supply chain issues with a potentially insolvent corporation.

In his compliance role, Devoy deals with numerous aspects of federal regulation, including counseling a local business entity on regulations and advising the associated factories on supply chain and standard operating procedures.

Devoy is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Associate Board for Teen Living Programs Chicago, a local non-profit with various initiatives to combat teen homelessness and support under-privileged youth.
